Still creating

October 4, 2010 by

I’ve knitted some more squares. I’ve made some things. I’ve modelled myself back from another brink, I think. Some days I don’t do much more than a squidge of Fimo or a few rows of knitting, but creating this is helping. I’m going to need more walls, if not more beds, soon though.

Books and Doctors and Dentists, Oh My!!!

October 4, 2010 by

Last week. Hmmmm. Amelie has been doing symmetry in her book as well as in Mathletics. Actually so has Maddy, along with 2D and 2D shapes and today, that annoying equation which has something to do with a triangle and a hippopotamus. And we’d have got there too, had I not failed to add up […]

Damn. I’m all behind again. We’ve had a good few weeks anyway; the homework diaries work really well still. Everyone likes it, everyone is busy and occupied (well, except Amelie who is converting education avoidance into an art form 🙄 ) I regularly depress myself with the fact that the girls do not get the […]

Running on Empty.

September 22, 2010 by

Yesterday the counsellor I’m seeing tore all of my “lalalalalalala… it’s not happening” defences into pieces. Consequently, all I really want to blog is “my baby boy is dead, my baby boy is dead.” I’m in pieces. However, that isn’t going to help, I think, so I’m going to blog something else instead. I’ve fallen […]

Our Family Tree

September 19, 2010 by

The “family tree” has been a watchword in our family for a long time – we lived opposite one that became christened such for a couple of years, in honour of  “The Tigger Movie” and Maddy planted one a few years ago in a pot which is now a strapping sapling, waiting to be planted […]

In between two weekends.

September 17, 2010 by

I do wish I could remember to blog more frequently about life, rather than about death. B- Must try harder. I spend a lot of time worrying about life, trying to keep things right for everyone and annoying people by going on about it, but not perhaps quite enough time living and doing it. Right. […]

Love

September 4, 2010 by

This is a photo of my first cuddle with Freddie. I can pretty much count the cuddles I had with him on two hands 🙁 It was one of the most amazing moments of my life, as you can probably see from my face. The photos we have of him are mostly not terribly good, […]

Van Gogh Oil Pastel Day

Starry Night

After a quiet weekend, we set off to Zoe’s on Monday for another art day which I had in concept but err… not in planning 😆 Still… nothing that couldn’t be solved over tea and a few books. We’d decided to carry on following the Usborne Treasury book from last time and try aversion of […]

August 8, 2010 by

There has been a noticeable absence of girl news this week – this being entirely due to there being a notable lack of girl. In order for me to have a little head space, but also do some heavy work on our websites and for the girls to have some fun but also a little […]

Pictures speak a thousand words.

August 8, 2010 by

My new Facebook profile picture received lots of lovely comments – young, pretty, relaxed, peaceful, happy, content, gentle being just a few of them. I like it, it shows me how I like to imagine myself. It’s cut from a larger picture. One that shows me as I hate to imagine myself, with the far […]
