Remembering Freddie on his birthday

Remembering Freddie on his birthday.

Flying High
I also made a picture to send to StillLife 365. I’m very grateful to Angie for featuring it on his birthday.

Fran wrote about him too.

Angela lit a candle for him… thank you.

So did Cara; we are so nearly twins in our loss as her beautiful Reid was born and died on April 3rd last year. Remembering with you Cara.

Thank you to Jeanette, for adding a candle for Freddie beside Florence’s candle yesterday. And for being there so much this year, from the moment she heard that Freddie had not come home. Florence and Freddie are tucked tightly together in my heart. (And not just in the Tesco clothes section 🙂 )

Thank you to Claire and Charlie, who had hoped to be here but were ill. Claire was one of the few people who met Freddie and cared for the girls in the latter part of his life. We appreciated that enormously and would love her to have been here.

Many of our real life friends came to our house, along with my sister and BIL. Others did beautiful things to mark Freddie’s birthday.

Thank you to Layla and family.

Thank you to ‘RubbishParent’ and girls.

Thank you to Ali and family.

I’m sure I’ve forgotten one, so I might be adding another later. To the people who donated to our JustGiving page for Hinchingbrooke SCBU, sent messages, spoke his name to someone in their day and thought of us, thank you.

IMG_6746What we did here is worthy of another post, because it was really very special, but for now, just thank you to everyone who came. He was one very loved little boy.

Thinking of you so so much today – I wanted to do something to let you know this, but sending some flowers just didn’t seem to fit the feeling and I couldn’t think of anything else to do, other than to tell you.
Much love to all of you, on a day which has its awful side so prominent, but which was still an amazingly special day too.

Am struggling to add comments to your flickr stream but there are two photos I love. One is of all the balloons on the ceiling and each balloon has captured a part of your reflection. The other is of you watching the balloons go, looking just beautiful xx
