We’re sitting at dinner, listening to the heavy drum beat of the person let loose on the sound system at Faith 08, which is currently setting up behind us. *Very* heavy thudding, already mildly irritating and we’re only on the first rendition of the song they sing all week that apparently just goes “oh-weeeeere-hoo, oh-weeeeere-hoo” for hours at a time. I know it is probably a shockingly blasphemous thing to say, but i swear they are the only people, aside from Truckfest, that sometimes make me weary about having a Showground behind us.
So Amelie asks who it is and Max or i replied “it’s the Camping Christians,” as we are wont to refer to them, to which she replied,
“I don’t see why Christians are so special, all they do is splash water on their heads. What’s so good about that?????”
A theological approach i currently (specifically due to the thudding) don’t feel i can argue with. 😆
LOL 🙂 I can’t deal with all that repetitive singing either.
de lurking to register my raucous laughter!
Buttercup this evening: “Well, *I* believe in God and Jesus and Adam and Eve and all those other people who live in hell too.” 😆
Snigger 🙂
giggle (to both small girls’ comments!) Hope the thudding stops soon!
