Are photos quick to upload to your blog?
They take an age on mine unless they’re reduced in resolution, which adds a stage / time anyway.
You need a flickr account! Makes it easypeasy 🙂
But it takes time to upload to flickr anyway so I wouldn’t actually save upload time would I?
Well flickr is really very quick, plus it automatically sizes them into 4 sizes for you and gives you linking code for each size, so then you can just paste that code into your blog and you are done 🙂
It’s v good – I use Flickr too – much quicker 🙂
If you shrink the size before uploading (which is one of the options with the flickr thing) it takes less than no time. I did about 60 photos earlier in about 5 seconds.
Yeah, as Ros says you can automatically get the Flickr Uploader to resize on the fly, so it doesn’t take any time to do (something I always found a pain when doing photos for the web the old way). But we don’t do that we upload in full resolution. If it’s just a few photos then it doesn’t really take that long anyway, if it’s a lot then it’s easy enough to set them uploading beforehand and then stick them in the post when you do it.
Also there is a really handy plugin that makes adding photos from Flickr literally a matter of a couple of clicks (which Merry has so she shouldn’t need to even do any of the cutting and pasting she mentions..)
Anyway, piccies are looking good, much has been happening, shame about the creased background though 😉
Borax snowflake looks good. How do you do that if you don’t mind me asking?
