My children are experiencing a collaborative attack on their delight and excitement in the shape of limited family funds and a sister currently being violently assaulted by a stretching GCSE revision guide. This means days out are limited in the extreme and when holiday are also filled with half poorly baby boys, exams, competition practice and parents trying very hard to finish websites, somehow planning for fun can be all too easily forgotten with the “we can’t really afford it” excuse coming all too readily to our lips.
It’s true, but it is a bit of a pants excuse, let’s be honest. I can’t imagine we are the only parents who find the combined onslaught of finding a day that will work for everyone, when no one is streaming their body weight in snot, packing up clothes for rain, shine and wind for 7 people, enough food to sustain the endlessly empty tummies and entertainment for bored toddlers in cars just all a bit too much. Somehow the idea of paying quite a lot for the experience is not entirely appealing.
If you feel the same, this offer might just make it all a bit easier to bear; over the Easter and May Bank holidays, Walkers family favourites snacks have teamed up with UK’s No 1 visitor attraction operator Merlin Entertainments to give away half price tickets to two of Merlin’s top attractions – Chessington World of Adventures Resort and the 12 SEA LIFE aquariums and sanctuaries across the UK.
For 12 weeks between the 31st March and the 20th June, Walkers Baked Stars, Walkers Mighty Lights, and Walkers Baked Hoops and Crosses, will have two vouchers offering half price tickets to Chessington World of Adventures Resort and SEA LIFE on all of their multipacks of six.
That seems like quite a trip sweetener to me 🙂
Chessington (which we’ve never been to but I swear I will visit eventually!) has a Ride into Africa trip and the brand new Scorpian Express, while Sea Life offers fun, sharks and the opportunity to educate the little sweethearts without them noticing. Marine conservation information on the BREED, RESCUE, PROTECT programme, fascinating sea life up close and 12 venues across the UK; it’s all good!
Disclosure: we have been paid to promote this opportunity.
