Dear all,
Lot of people have said they’ll join in and make daffodils with me ready for Freddie’s birthday on 2nd April; as I feared, ours are already out and will be gone before it comes. Over the last 4 years the sight of Spring emerging at a time which is so inherently sad has lifted my spirits so much; daffodils are always a bittersweet reminder but one that brings some joy. It’s making me sad that as the day that should mean he is 4 comes and go, they will be finished and Spring will almost be passed. I feel so cross with them for that. I know it’s not their fault… but they could have played ball! I’ve made a couple of crafts and I would so love you to join in as I make more. So far I have Daffodil Hama Bead patterns and Daffodil Fimo.
There is a linky below and a badge (which you don’t have to use and it is no follow code but you can if you wish) and I’d love to see what you make. I promise faithfully to visit every blog that joins in 🙂

Hi Merry, I used your Autumn leaves idea on Simple Crafts to make a spring themed mobile, with leaves, daffodils and other flowers, made of felt and stuffed with a bit of cushion stuffing. It looks lovely, and will one day go in a nursery when I feel grown up enough to think about kids! I don’t have a blog so no linky but I was proud of myself for being inspired and actually getting on with something creative.
Also I thought of your blog the other day, which made me come and look here again to catch up and for creative inspiration. I don’t often read blogs but a couple of years ago I stumbled across yours, and you and I think Fran had made some glass bead bracelets to sell on Etsy. I bought three and they are still among my most favourite jewellery, I get so many compliments on them and wear them a lot. So thank you. I know you are no longer home-ed-ing as such but I thought it might make you smile to know that one of your home-ed projects was still very much loved and appreciated!

That’s so lovely – I do hope you’ll let me see a photo; I don’t know if you can link to a Pinterest pin or if not, I’d love to host a photo of it?
(PS, we really must get back to selling our bracelets; I’m glad you love them still 🙂 )

It’s gorgeous! You are very talented! Are you able to add a link to Pinterest to the linky? If not I would love to feature it on the blog. Thank you xxx

I think I have managed it – just didn’t know you could link something that wasn’t a blog 🙂 Thanks!

I have failed in almost all my good intentions recently to do creative stuff with the children (though they’ve done plenty independently) and to blog about it, but if this doesn’t motivate me, I don’t know what will. If I achieve nothing else in the next month, I WILL do daffodil crafts for Freddie, I promise xxx

Merry, daffodils are my favourite flower, (my Dad always bought me daffodils – he died 17 years ago, my best friend died 10 years ago, both in september, so every autumn I plant a few more daffodils, I do often think of you, max the girls, freddie and bene xx) I will make something, felt daffodils. I my blog is private so I’ll have to put a picture somewhere else. xx
