Amelie had a bad spell of asthma this week and had to have a couple of days off school. She was really too breathless to do much beyond sitting on the sofa and was quite down too for various reasons so I thought I would try and inspire her with my own therapy methods and reminded her about crochet. Armed with some cheap and cheerful chunky wool and a hook, she set about making a rather fabulous scarf.
Loads of triples in lines, set in groups of 3 like a granny square. She worked away at this one all day and put the fringe on herself by bedtime.
Very pleased with herself. And a much better use of time than lolling on the sofa watching TV all day. Actually, quite possibly a better use of time than being at school all day 🙁
She was not a lot better by the next morning and Max kept her home again while I went off to the Spring Fair. This time she decided to do a loop scarf, worked it all out herself and had another gorgeous piece of work made by the time I got home.

I agree, Amelie.
Great use of time, and the chunky wool is fantastic.
