Review: Hotel Chocolate Sleekster Classic Christmas Selection.

December 15, 2013 by

Along with sock, slippers, smellies and sleep (oh no wait… not sleep, no such thing as sleep anymore) chocolates have to be one of those go to gifts for people who either have everything or fall into the “oh my goodness, what do I get them?” category. Or indeed people who just deserve a treat. Or people who happen to be very tired and have 3 hormonal teenage girls in the house. You know, take your pick 😉

If you happen, by chance, to fall into that last category, then a box arriving on your doorstep and asking you to review a set of very snazzily wrapped luxury chocolate will not go down badly at all!

Thank you cosmic supply company #hotelchocolat #byebyediet

We don’t have a Hotel Chocolat in our town, so even visiting the shop, which we have to do in Cambridge, feels like a bit of an event. I try not to let myself actually remember that they have a website and could deliver daily parcels to my doorstep 😉

It would be rude not to ;) #hotelchocolat #review
What I love about them is that each box feels innovative. There are always lots of chocolate flavour ideas that you just don’t see in any other comparably priced box of chocs; this one had eton mess, cranberry, pistachio (oops, managed to stop Amelie eating that one!) various deliciously alcoholic types and lots with crunchy toppings and ‘bits’ in. All very delicious and managing to pull of a red and sparkly Christmas theme to boot and focusing on ethically produced cocoa so you can feel good about eating it too. My Hotel Chocolat Christmas Sleekster box is £23, which is undoubtledly a price that puts it into the luxury gift bracket but it is beautifully designed and packaged and extremely yummy, so gift or post Xmas dinner treat… I’d say it was most certainly worth it.

They were pleased #review

Disclosure: We were sent this box of chocolates free for review. Opinions are definitely our own. And yes, they definitely helped to appease the hormones. Although frankly, we may need more.
