Ages ago I got sent a rather fab T-shirt that had been made using stains for me by Dermot Flynn by Persil who are launching their new Small & Mighty detergent.
Since it was a size ten, Maddy got to wear it. I might be dieting, but I’m not sure me and a size 10 will ever be friends 😉 It is rather cool though, made and painted on to the t-shirt from ink splodges and chocolate splashes. They also sent us our own plain one to try, so the manga mad Maddy spent a quiet morning of ‘messy play’ doing just that.
Ink and juice. The little pot of chocolate they sent got (ahem) burned in the microwave. We are not safe to be let out.
The finished article. She is very reluctant to wash it. I can’t believe she did this out of juice and ink.
I’d forgotten the fun you can have with using stuff to dye things. Josie and I are off to hunt down some blackberries later and see if we can dye some fabric with them. I don’t suppose anyone remembers but we once had a lot of fun doing this. Natural dyeing is lots of fun and we did it back in the olden days when projects about celts and olden days Britain were things we spent our time on.
I miss the olden days of home ed. It was fun :/
Disclosure: As a Persil blogger, we get occasional random packs of fun like this, normally accompanied by a bottle of their product.

Death Note is one of my favourite films – she’s got excellent taste 🙂
