I think I got my cake making badge today. Maddy turned 13 in the week, celebrating it on a day out to the Spring Fair with Max and opening the latest ever family birthday presents at 9pm 🙂 She let me save the cake till the weekend so I had more time (thanks Maddy) and Josie, Amelie and I did it okay.
I have to say, I'm genuinely rather proud 🙂

I'm not totally sure I can top that but I'm so pleased she liked it. I often feel I don't do enough proper mother things and I was worrying they would grow up never having had a special birthday cake from me. I tend to feel I let Maddy down the most but hopefully she will always remember this 🙂
