Rock Doc in Cambridge Trip.

December 13, 2012 by

It's hard to believe, but my brother is a fully fledged rock doc, a doctor of geological stuff, on loan from Australia. We are very much enjoying having him here. Today, having navigated sick babies, freezing fog, various other things and goodness knows what, we took a day out for the girls to do some christmas shopping in Cambridge. Since we were there, we went to the Sedgwick museum and spent some time looking at rocks.

Rock doc.

Small cute boy in bear suit donated by a lovely blog reader.

Dino-dore.

Rock things.

You'd be amazed how excitable a geologist can get about rocks with wiggles in.

You can fault rocks like these. (Ba dum tish).

Fossilised lumps of bacteria. Really.

Boy in a bear suit.

We like having uncle rich here. It's been a long three years.

Can’t get enough of those pictures of the boy in the bear suit. He is lovely. Rocks not bad either, but no, they can’t compete. I’m just looking at the boy 🙂 Glad you are having a good time with your brother. My brother lives in Australia too, and I miss him a lot.
