It has been a busy couple of weeks at The Puddle and has even involved, not infrequently, all leaving the house simultaneously 😉
Last week, Fran, Maddy and Amelie all took part in the local music festival. This year Fran brought home the cello trophy and Maddy the guitar trophy ( by default, but she was excellent). They all got commended certificates and were generally very pleased.
Fran was very delighted to be in the paper the next day.
Maddy had got through her grading at TKD the week before (did I mention that already?) she’s a red tag now which means if we get organised enough to get her to all the gradings this year, she could be a black belt around about March next year. she’s very keen to do that.
Amelie has been getting some moves back at gym and working hard on all sorts of things, not least moving out of her comfort zone to try rugby again. Josie is almost reading now and learning her times tables. She’s a very studious sort as a rule 🙂
Edit: forgot josie’s huge achievement of the week! She has now moved on to a bigger bike since this and can do gears! Fran taught her everything she knows 🙂
Last week Fran was in a school production of Guys and Dolls. We all went to watch and it was very enjoyable. She got a chance to mix with a new and older group at school, which she really enjoyed and is part of the next phase of really growing up I think. She had a bit more of a wobbly when she didn’t manage her time well and got into trouble for some late homework. Learning curve there I think.
Yesterday Fran had her grade 3 cello exam and Amelie had her grade 1 violin. Phew…. Am I sick of those pieces 🙂 fingers crossed they passed.
That’s it I think.
Ben, bless him, has mostly worked at sleeping and feeding and discovering he can actually sleep in a cot. He got a distinction in sleeping.

Phew- I’m exhausted just reading all about it! You’ve been incredibly busy fitting it all in! So glad everyone has acheived so much- esp Ben with it all happening around him (I’d give him a distinction in looking adorable as well).xxx
