Midi Hama Bead Give Away

December 9, 2011 by

First of all, I’ve horribly late on my prize drawing of the Corolle doll but using my patented testing method of getting the girls to shout out a number and seeing who I actually heard, Aileen is the winner!!!!

To get back on track, this next give away is running until Tuesday night only. This week we are giving away two large Midi Hama Bead Craft Kits, our staple product, the very first product I ever sold from my fledgling business in my kitchen cupboard, all those years ago.

I’ve picked two lovely kits, both worth £12.95 and both will come with a voucher worth £10 to spend at CraftMerrily. You can click on both images to find out more about them.

You might also enjoy my recent round up of the free Christmas Hama Bead patterns on BeadMerrily and the various Christmassy sets we also sell. All the Merrily shops will be posting out for Christmas until the 21st December, unless we get snow 🙂

To enter (UK only) leave a comment below. If you tweet the competition, leave another comment, if you facebook it, leave another. If you blog a link to PoP or PlayMerrily, leave more comments.

I will draw the competition on Tuesday 13th December at midnight and the winner will have one week to send me their address.

My children are Hama bead mad at the moment. I hate the pressure of ironing though, several times I have dropped them while moving them from the table to the iron.

oooh the Polar one looks fun!

Michelle……get the children to do their beading on a tray….it’s much easier to traverse the terrain of lego, skates, marbles and squeaky toys with a design on a tray. Once you’ve reached the relative safety of the *roning board, it’s usually ok to do a quick “is there a child at my elbow” check and transfer it to the board 🙂

Oh, definitely, please! I think my girls are firmly in the Maxi stage but eldest is having a go with midi and I might be an addict too 😉 Thanks for another giveaway x

Am hoping to re inspire my bigger two with hama in the week that I am off work over Christmas. They are still at the point of needing a constant presence (and a helping hand to finish off) which is difficult when working long hours. If there was a choice, the jungle animals would be better for us as they are not yet able to properly follow design sheet patterns so need the shaped boards.

Plan on introducing 6 yr old grandson to Hama during the Christmas school hols. May also look at Maxi beads for youngest grandson. See how I cope with ‘teaching’ them. 🙂

I’ve just bought my 7 year old the toy story midi set set as an xmas present to see if he gets the hama bug. Even if he doesn’t like them I know I will LOL I need the co-ordination practice for my dodgy thumb!

Oooh never tried the midi ones. We got a huge box of the tiny weeny ones from the charity shop ages ago and my eldest (6) is just getting really into them. A couple of the boards are warped though – can they be ironed flat with persistance or do I just need to bin those ones? We’ve just started home educating our 4 girls so are doing LOTS of craft at the moment.

Hama Beads – The Only Reason I do any Ironing. My daughter likes to do her bit for the planet and we realise that ironing is not only a tiresome but ridiculous concept at the best of times! But we do love Hama 🙂

You inspired me to try Hama beads many years ago, on the MuddlePuddle list. My older boys (14 and 11) still like to use Hama beads to make lots of little ‘spaceships’ (they look a bit like old space invaders pixellated things) which they then battle with, and leave all over the floor…. the younger kids produce more attractive things with them! And I made a Hama bead house recently, of which I am very proud 🙂

Oh yes, you got us started on Hama beads too and we still love them. Tried to get rid of our maxi beads when we moved house but 6 yo insisted on keeping them as she still loves them! Planning to make some new decs this year as we are having a bigger tree so more beads would always come in handy.
