Having been our logo for so long, ducks and ducklings have a special place in our heart.

They are just so sweet. When were they born? Lovely scene for a townie like me!

They hatched just after we arrive and were about 5 days old in this picture.

Oh Merry, sweet little Mama duck with her five babies. (((hugs)))

I know; this is the mama duck who last year lost her only chick just as we arrive. She had 7 this time, but two died in the first couple of days. By the end of the week she had five.

I’m the same as Jeanette, all I can see is the mama duck with her 5 little ducklings.

I know. It was rather bitter sweet. To see her with 4 of one colour and one of another could hardly have been more ‘thanks universe’ or poignant.
