Yesterday I discovered that I had made the final 6 of the Best MAD Family Life Blog Awards category and also the final 5 of the Most Inspiring Blogger too.
I’d be a total liar if I didn’t say this cheered me up no end and put a huge smile on my face for a very long time indeed. I really, REALLY wanted to get a home ed, baby loss blog into the forefront of Family Blogging and up there among blogs which are becoming well known. I wanted a chance to put home ed firmly among the mainstream and those of us who have lost children properly into the public eye; women you might know and care about, not a invisible minority you’ll never meet.
I’d also be a liar if I didn’t say it would be fantastic to win. So if you have time to take a minute and vote for me, I’d be incredibly grateful. And if you’d be prepared to ask people you know to vote too, well, I’d be even MORE grateful! It’s a really quick, simple, drop down list voting form.
I’m in two incredibly challenging categories; there are great blogs in both and I already read 3 of them. I’m going to need every possible vote, I won’t lie But if you think that with it’s odd mixture of education, grief, knitting and crafting, small business, Fimo and Hama Beads, random ramblings and heart on sleeve weep inducers with a good smattering of living in a house full of people who wear to much pink and just not quite enough blue, we make a good example of family life or have inspired you in any way, I hope you’ll vote for us
In the Craft section, my vote is going to go to the very inspiring RedTedArt and for Family Fun you could do worse than pootle over to Nuture Store. In Innovative it is a desperately close call for me between NotefromLapland and Typecast and for new blogs, well I??m already a reader of SAHMLovingIt. For Photography??. oh, it??s tricky, but TalesFromTheVillage gave me Lily of the Valley, so errrm??
When it comes to Blog Writer of the Year, I may have to flip a coin ? I can’t choose between Josie at SleepisfortheWeak and Emily at MoreThanJustAMother.
