Fran and I have spent a very pleasant few bits of time sat at the table and making bracelets and dragons; she’s started to sell a few to friends now and has been invited to a charity coffee morning with them tomorrow. hard to know how that will go but I hope she sells some.
I’ve been rather pleased with selling some dragons too (thank you!)
This little chap hasn’t photographed so well but he’s cute – first go at a scene too; now I’m getting more confident, I might try a few more like that.
There were some BIG haircuts this week.
Fran suddenly decided to have 6 inches lopped off and Josie has a chin length bob. Fran looks about 2 years older. Apparently she is now having her ears pierced too, since she’s got a break from gym that makes that easier to do.
We gardened lots – these are the days when owning your own business is a good thing, even if it is quieter than preferable – and it was lovely to just be together. The girls got work done early and then just enjoyed the sun.
The gymmers gymmed – trampoline will fill a hole but they are going to miss the bars and floor stuff a lot. We’ll see. Still it was lovely to see them enjoying trampoline and equally good to see Fran be picked up quickly as being good enough to work on. Am secretly hoping she’ll stick with it and give up gym. I’m so sick of her working hard and being seen as someone not worth spending time on in a gym – she could still do well at trampoline and achieve stuff.
A lot of work went into getting our three remaining rabbits in together
Everyone (but me!) worked on reconstructing our larger run and adding hinged roof bits to it (I can’t write rooves, it just looks silly!)
Josie is drawing lots
and today she spelled out lots of CVC words to me, sounded them out, could hear all the words, spelled 3 i asked her for from her head and then went and found others with a ‘p’ in them and told me what they were.
So that’ll be her heading towards reading then 🙂
Today they all had a go at this and Amelie was chuffed to bits with her version.
Lastly, I write a customer focus on one of our favourite regulars at CraftMerrily. She does lovely polymer clay stuff; well worth a peep 🙂
