Here is a better set of pictures of my dragons. They were my first 6, so hopefully I’ll get better at them but I had such a lot of fun making them. I love whimsical fimo modelling, there is so much less worry about them looking absolutely right and perfect. This little bunch of fellas just seemed to emerge out of the clay; once the basic shape was there, how that had turned out seemed to inspire the character in them.
We sell Fimo & Sculpey at our family website and will be very grateful if you would consider purchasing your supplies from us. We offer discounts for regular customers who have polymer clay sculpture businesses.

I know – I am hopeless at human faces, can’t do them at all. I leave them blank like those models of mothers and pretend it is a style!

They are amazing. The level of detail is incredible. I love the first one’s eyes, something about him makes me think of a puppy.

Apparently the key to model animals is to make them mirror a recognisable animal in some way or give them the qualities of a small child. I’m not sure it happened intentionally, but he did seem to come out puppy-ish 😀 And old… definitely doddery.
