The Home Ed Round Up Bits

March 7, 2011 by

Trying to think what has been going on the last couple of weeks in the “in between other more meaningful posts” places. I always end up going to look on Facebook and Twitter to see what I’ve been doing.

We finally managed to get most of the Lego builds in one place and one piece and take a pre-crumple picture of them. Some are still standing, but several are all in bits and have moved on to new things now.

Maddy and Fran had a half term day with friends here; Maddy made several more of her Chinese zodiac medallions with B while Fran and C giggled a lot.

At CraftMerrily we’ve just taken on House of Crafts as a range; they gave us this Beeswax Candle Set as a sample, which Maddy and Josie did

and then when I was at work one day Max did this Candle Making Set with Amelie.

Maddy did more dress designing.

Fran has been doing Osmosis and Diffusion experiments.

Maddy has been trying out the Pyrography Kit she got for Christmas.

At Latin/Science last week Fran was really enjoying everything and got lots of compliments for working hard. In the art section they all made 3D solids. Fran has also been writing book summaries on her blog and Maddy has been reading lots of Roald Dahl while Amelie has been sampling MudPuddle Farm books by Michael Morpurgo.

Today, while Max and I did vet/hospital trips, Zoe did Lego house design with them ready for 3D sketching next week.

We’re keeping busy, that’s for sure.

Fabulous pictures. I used to love lego and couldn’t wait to buy it when Amy was a little girl, except she kept putting it in her mouth so we ended up giving it all away!!

You’re very crafty; how lovely to be so creative.
