Round up so I don't forget!

February 5, 2011 by

Monday – I was too busy worrying about my Dad to do more than basics, so Zoe and co came here in the afternoon instead of an art day. Girls did loads of work though. Fran really forging ahead with Mathletics, writing and so on and of course completed that lovely guest post for me. She’s really back into her diary lists. Josie spent ages doing sums on the Digicolour and spelling out CVC words in wooden letters. Amelie is loving her science books and Skoldo.

Tuesday – I went to work and managed an entire day of working on a soft baby toy section and only cried once. I didn’t think that was too bad really. Meanwhile, Max was at home with the girls who did rabbit hutch design projects, including some fabulous drawings and then Lego models of their ideas. He’ll blog it shortly.

Wednesday – we took a break from normal routine and took the kids to London for the day. I’ll blog that 😀 (can you see why I need a round up?)

Thursday – was a slumpy, work from diaries and then do some other stuff sort of a day. We made a start on some Chinese new year activities (I’ll blog that!) Girls went off to gym and TKD; I’m trying very hard to draw a veil over my current utter frustrations with gym 🙁

Friday – they al got through their diary work really quickly and then we spent the rest of the day looking at Chinese New Year. Woefully sort on books and i’m never that impressed with Google either, but we had some interesting stuff come up. I’ll blog it.

And here is a gratuitous shot of how kitchens are used in Home Educator Land.

There is some amusement to be had in the juxtaposition of Hama Beads, Lego, Expresso machine and cut glass crystal decanter. (??)

Looks like a fab week, Im off to read your other posts.
I desperately want to take the children to the science museum, Im just ridiculously scared of doing the whole bus/tube thing on my own whilst keeping check on the kids. Must do it though.

We arrived about 11 and left after 7, which made it much less crowded on the tubes.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll see if I can arrange those kind of timings.
