I’m not going to make it entirely, as Fran has promised a guest blog for part of it, but she’s hugely caught up in both her NaNo and now some terribly complicated spreadsheet she is designing (for a 12 year old anyway) so that might take a while.
It’s too long ago to blog Halloween now but we spent it with Kate, Mark, Summer and Madison again and it was lovely. First time had seen Summer since Freddie was born I think, which was emotional for me – and probably (I don’t think Kate would mind me saying this) a good thing for me too. She’s a lovely girl and I adore her and get some real joy that she communicates just enough with me for me to remember that it is important I do so. but oh, I am not the mum that Kate is and it is probably a good thing I do not have that row to hoe. Forgive me Summer, forgive me Freddie.
So here instead, is Biscuit about a week ago. She’s gorgeous and we love her (and growing fast!)
And here is Freddie’s first tree, which still had just a few leaves hanging on on this day, leaves that were all gone the day after.
There is something hopefully (though sadly life is not yet imitating art) in autumnal leaves falling away and the magnolia buds already forming on the tips, ready for spring.
