No cake but what we make

August 18, 2010 by

This week Josie and Maddy have, at various times, made puddings and cakes. They are rather proud of them – and we all think they are very tasty.

On a separate note, I’ve been mulling over the current trend of “sponsored posts” recently for one reason or another, not least that i recently took part in a survey about how people viewed such things. Then yesterday I got offered the opportunity (out of the blue, I didn’t go looking) to do one; it happens to be on a subject extremely close to my heart for many personal reasons. So I’m going to; I don’t imagine it would be something I would do often but on this occasion I’d like to, just in case it can make an iota of difference to a family somewhere. I’ll be putting the proceeds into the Freddie Fund, as I did with the payment from the survey, so I hope you’ll bear with me while I make my point 🙂

Mmmm the cakes look delicious. Good luck with the sponsored post, I have no idea how that all works as have never done anything like that myself, but I hope it helps Xxxx

You could always do the post without the sponsorship element if it doesn’t sit right with you.

Well, I could indeed. I’ve written it my way and submitted it – if they don’t like it, we’ll see. It’s the type of thing I might have done had the campaign floated past my nose anyway. But if they are happy to pay, I’m happy to take the money and give it to charity. The way I’ve written it, I wouldn’t be happy to take the money into my own pocket.
