Lovely weekend away at the Festival of History with friends, camping for 2 nights at Wicksteed Park. Will blog it better shortly when I can find my proper camera cable, there were some ups and downs and some really great day out moments too. Just wanted to say thank you to all my incredibly lovely friends who stuck me back together at various moments, particularly at my most muppet-like moments. I am so, so lucky to have you all. Friendship, love and affection for all of us; I am so grateful. It helps so much to have you all thinking of us and caring for us and knowing that you’ll never quite look at us and not see Freddie too. I don’t know what I’d do without you all.

Gush. Gush.

Today we went over to Zoe’s and did another of our play/art days. They played, Zoe and I rather over-excitedly made A. PLAN. and mapped out some themes and ideas for the next few weeks. Poor Zoe is suffering rather from my inability to do more than one meaningful thing a day, so we thought perhaps if we made the meaningful thing REALLY. GOOD. then that would help!

So there was much trampolining and playing and then after lunch we got them all to have a go at Sketch Tuesday, which was “something from a kitchen drawer”. As this felt a bit too narrow for certain of the party, we extended that to “kitchen cupboard” and I abandoned the idea and went for landscape but without tree! 😆

Fran’s still life. Can’t believe the improvement. The orange was me showing her but the apples and other bits are her. She’s trying so hard.

Not to be outdone, I had to have a go then 🙂

I don’t like mine nearly so much though.

Maddy did a cutlery drawer.

She also did some juice in jug and bottle. She’s really expanded what she’ll have a go at too.

Amelie did scissors. i think she thinks drawing is a bit….. something.

I had a go at a project from an Usborne book using ordinary chalk pastels.

And then tried similar in oil pastels.

I’m really loving doing this at the moment.
