Normal normal normal.

Except there is no such thing.

But today was pleasantly boring and relaxed, with some enjoyable interludes. We started off with a quick burst of housework and a mammoth washing session (do love having kids old enough to deal with their own washing!) and then a firm return to music practise which has slumped a little over the summer, to say the least. Think everyone also managed some reading (Mr Poppers Penguins for M, Mill Girl for F and Charlie and Lola for A) and some EC of sorts before we went out.

Josie is still going to Gymmies, partly because i like to have a chance to interact with her (though she barely needs or wants me now) and partly because it gives the other girls 45 minutes of gym practise at the side. Today Joey was on top form, completely different from the girl that used to kick up so thoroughly and did very well. Fran was elated to crack a backwards roll into handstand very completely and look like a proper gymnast doing it.

Back home for lunch, resoundingly unsuccessful as i tried to feed them left over tinned stuff that Fran asked to try when on soft food. Much grumbling. Then Fran took a look at the medieval project book and did several questions from GP History Chp 3, Maddy wrote a story (without tears) and Amelie, Josie and i read “I wonder why kangaroos have pouches” together. Liked that 🙂

Finished the day with a trip to see Kate, Summer and Madison where Josie disgraced herself with a lack of social skills brought on by being a youngest and Madison impressively displayed a range of being 2-ness. But did come away with a shipment of Gymboree Skorts for the girls, ideal clothing for upsidedown children.
