Dear Mummy…

November 1, 2008 by

“I am writing to you to tell you that Amelie doesn’t want to tidy her room but she does want us to tidy it so she can watch Merlin.”

“Do you think it is fair that Josie can make mess in the room while we tidy it and then we have to tidy that mess and while we do it she messes up her room.”

“I am making a complaint.”

“Amelie is making me write to tell you that i am being horrid because i don’t want to tidy up her room.”

GRIT has finally and officially changed my life. I’m sick of hearing tales, complaints, irritations and foibles. So at the suggestion of Grit, who got it from someone else, all complaints about siblings now have to be put in writing.

“Put it in writing!” i say, with my hand held up in a ‘talk-to-the-hand’ fashion – and frankly, i can’t describe the results any better than in Grit’s own words:- “And, of course, with this system, everyone gets to write something everyday. Sometimes twice.”

*Snigger* In true Puddle fashion, Frances writes several ‘Indignant of Northgate’ letters a day, Maddy can’t be arsed and Amelie bludgeons Fran into doing it for her. Josie is too busy playing to notice and on the one occasion she did register a verbal complaint and pointed out that she can’t actually write yet, she accepted my suggestion that she just remember the complaint until she can 😆

Worked beautifully when i took them to work with me the other day; i thought my staff were going to wet themselves laughing 😆

Thanks Grit 🙂

pmsl that is very funny. Especially Josie agreeing to remember her complaint until she can write! Don’t think it will work on Steve though …

If only the boy was old enough to write his complaints and the man wasn’t too lazy… My life would be perfect then (just as long as I didn’t have to write my own)
