Fran's Rainbow Poem

September 22, 2007 by

Red is the colour of poppies that bloom,

Orange the shade of the late evening moon,

Yellow for sunshine that beams in the sky,

Green are the trees that grow really high,

Blue is the colour of the river that flows,

Indigo wind just blows and blows,

Violet for dawn at the end of the night,

Rainbows are made with water and light.

That’s excellent! Really brilliant. It always amazes me how young people write such great poetry, I never got the hang of it.
