Catch up.

March 13, 2007 by

Forgot to blog the recycling poster the girls did the other day but i can’t find the photos now, so it will have to wait. i must get into the habit of doing pages of these things, would make it easier to keep track!

Anyway, Maddy has learned c on her guitar, so she can now do 4 note tunes. Hurrah 🙂 Fran is up to chapter 13 in Charlottes Web and Amelie is happily cxarrying on with letters. After a (rather short but sweet nonetheless) trip to Claires today, we came home with this magnetic letter board, which she is utterly thrilled with. She calls it her work 🙂 We also brought home four Groovy Girls and only escaped without Baby Stella by the skin of our teeth 🙂 *rolls eyes expansively at birthday money, persistant 2 year olds and self*

We had a lovely day out, it was nice to have some time away from the house and good company with fresh toys, an enjoyable walk (ducks AND fish, trees to climb and a lot of mud) – and i escaped parcelling. All good. It’s been a tough few days; i’ve faced some very difficult, frankly heartbreaking, questions from the ever intuitive Amelie 😥 and what with one thing and another, i’m a bit wrung out. Spring is always difficult for me, this year it is just going to be worse. Actually i’d quite like to sleep till Autumn (preferably without calling down major head trauma, coma or anything else i might live, or not live, to regret wishing for, if possible.)

So company was nice; shame about the traffic jam that we sat in for 45 minutes, but nevermind. 🙄

Got back only 2 minutes late for ballet lessons and eventually home and have stowed everyone away now i think. Fran deeply excited as i’ve arranged for her to have a second ballet lesson a week; teacher thought it was worth doing so hopefully it will help her get on a bit – i know she’d like to get grade 1 over this year and get on to more difficult stuff.

Right. Right…. um… where was i?

(((hugs))) for a difficult time of year. my bad months are November and July. I’m in my element in spring. try and enjoy the weather, keep busy (like you arent already, lol) and get out a lot, it’ll all help.
