Tidoo, tidoo, tidoo-tidoo-tidoo!

March 6, 2007 by

We have a habit here of making up songs that are just one persons name as often as it can be fitted in to a well known tune; Josie, Joey, Josiejo and Josephine tend to go excellently and so it is one of our many feeding games (did i mentioned she hadn’t weaned yet? 🙄 ) We have a variety of feeding games, though just at the moment the how-many-ways-can-mummy-stop-you from-sticking-your-hand-up-my-top-and-scratching game is top of the list. But we also do “singing in grunts”, scales and arpeggios in grunts, follow the leader in grunts, tickling, how many different positions can Josie get into without unlatching and how many silly faces can Josie pull to answer “do you love me?” without unlatching.

It’s all good fun.

I stayed up late parcelling, then came down to find more to do (came down… walked across the hallway even!) and rather oddly, the children were already doing all their normals. So that was over fairly quickly and then they spent the rest of the day rehearsing shows to classical music, hama-ing, listening to stories, tidying up mess, playing and dressing up and reading/drawing/making shops etc etc etc.

i did offer education, but they seemed very busy. Fran is reading those “I Wonder Why…” books and keeps coming out with random facts, which is quite funny 😆 Amelie is practising letters frantically and i’m leaving her to own the process 😉 and Maddy can easily do an hour on her guitar, read a few ladybird books and do EC without even batting an eyelid. None of it feels like work really 🙂

Meanwhile, i got my final new line of the tax year; something i wanted to try out ready to move it to a toy site at some point. While they don’t fit terribly well on BM, they are EXTREMELY lovely and being clamoured for here very much indeed. Only Josie got one though and she hasn’t put it down all day. Yes, we did sing to it quite a bit too…. 😉
