I saw mummy kissing Santa Claus…

November 22, 2006 by

… or in Josie world, it was Jan who was kissing him.

and shortly after, Jonathan came along and knocked him down.

Oh how i laughed 😆 (But then stood on Alison!)

And this is my living room.

I think we might have to move.

Max did double the RAM in my laptop though, which means it has now recovered itself to a point where i can actually use it. Wonder if he could do that with my head… i think i need a duo core processor in my brain….

LOL – bit late for files and I’ve played with my babylegs already – neatly put in stock room and I’ve sold 3 pairs as well.

Blinking heck……a sign of success but gulp.

What impact does it have on your home insurance out of interest?

i think you need to knock through into garage and turn that into a stock room.
hands up how many eople wish they had thought of selling beads 3 years ago?

Knocking in to the garage would need planning permission…..actually running any business from home can need planning permission. I think it’s great that you are now doing a business plan etc because the huge success takes you onto another level in terms of legal issues, VAT, planning permission, employer’s insurance etc etc…..

What I find amazing and is a great credit to Merry is that the niche she created remains hers. If there are that many customers around for beads you would have expected the supply market to have expanded. Presumably it has to a degree but Merry’s service/expertise keeps people coming back for more.

House insurance is fine, we had to check before we moved here and so long as i have extra insurance, we are covered. I have £2million of public liability insurance, among other things now.

House is okay too so long as the outside isn’t altered or showing signs of containing a business.

Seeing the first of a string of accountants this weekend and just printed the VAT form.

Chris, i’m positively glowing at the praise there!

……actually you can need planning permission if your home based business generates additional traffic to your home, such as deliveries, postal vans….. I can’t imagine it would really matter but worth bearing in mind as on current rates of growth you will be turning over 10k a day next December.

lol – if we are doing that, we’ll be living in mid devon by then! 😉

(I know, i know…. and thank you for taking the interest, i appreciate it!)

I can see myself in a few years:

‘Oh yes, Merry, the Hama Bead tycoon, yes, I used to read her blog way back, before she bought that island.’
