You've got to laugh.

October 31, 2006 by

Conversations i have eavesdropped on today.

Amelie “I’ve got a friend called Buttercup…”
Maddy “SB knows that, she’s seen you together 100 times!”
SB “Not 100, probably only about 58 times…”

Fran to me “I love the way SB talks; sometimes i think she should be on stage and tell the story of her life.”

Maddy to SB “You musn’t touch the walls with any part of your body; if you do, you make a mark and mummy sees it and she gets REALLY angry about every single one!”

EDITED: I dunno, SB just seems to bring out some corkers in my children!

While playing Harvest Moon…

Fran “Next time i get a new animal, i’ll call it SB, but it will have to be an animal that wails a lot.”
Me: (from upstairs) “FRANCES!!!! that wasn’t very nice; say sorry.”
Fran: “Sorry SB.”
SB: “Why are you saying sorry?”
Fran: “I don’t know, mum just said i had to.” (game resumes)

In the car on the way home from trick or treating, SB’s first ever venture out with my veteran sweet haulers.
SB: (to a very tired looking Amelie) “Don’t worry Amelie, when you are a big girl like all of us, you’ll like trick or treating and be good at it too…” (me, giggling wildly and trying to imagine Amelie’s eye-rolling)
