One of the first things that happened today was a text from my mum to ask me if i had heard the AB of C’s thoughts on childhood; she followed it up by telling me how proud she was of me for protecting and valuing my childrens childhood (or that was the gist anyway.) I thought that was very lovely of her 🙂
Spent quite a lot of time with the Fimo rep but the kids were perfect (dvd and plate of cakes!) for the entire time and just as i was ready to start ‘doing something’ with them, all 4 got involved in a huge Brio and bricks and wooden toys in general game that proceeded to go on all day. So in honour of their right to childhood, i let them 😆 This meant i got some tidying done, got lots of new Hama Bead products on to the site, which have been shamefully sat on the shelf waiting for me to put them on and then managed to crack my way into the BM server, learn how to use Filezilla properly, restructure BM a bit and learn how to edit php pages and change small but meaningful details within it. having to learn so much new because it is now all different from what i built nad the limited understanding of it i had when it was the old design. But i got there in the end. Also updated the links page (but am baffled by font size change in the middle) so if i have missed anyone off who wants on, please shout.
Also spent a good bit of the day putting daddy-long-leggesesesssss outside. Everyone including Josie is now capable of that, though when she does it they tend to end up as daddy-slightly-shorter-leggesesssss…. we’ve had rather a lot of conversations on plurals and what the mummy ones are called lately 🙄
Josie has several new sentence – “mummy NOT do bee passel” (mummy, stop sodding well making money and ignoring me while you pack those bead parcels), “i got itchy bottom” 😳 and “i need jelly cream” being some of them. She is now into full on 2 year old strop monster behaviour, but seems to actually amuse herself quite a lot 😆
In fact, some notable education did go on; Fran read several short history stories, Maddy did loads of MPH2A/1 and master vertical subtraction, Fran did endless EC English, Amelie drew, wrote and computed, Maddy drew and built models and Fran did a British Isles sticker book.
I bike rided too; gonna get too dark soon though 🙁
Also, generally feeling much, much better in general (and at times slightly guilty for feeling better) but definitely more like myself than i have been for months and months and months. Dunno if it is pills, counselling, me or all 3, but i really hope it continues. So that, if you are one of the people who might want to know, is the notice on the palace gates today 🙂

We don’t seem to have DDLL, but we do seem to get a steady stram of butterflies that seem to materialise from nowhere in the bathroom, very odd.
Pah, just spotted one, obviously decamped from your way.

Very pleased to read the notice on the palace gates 🙂

We have at least a million of them!

At least???? Goodness! 😉

So you’re turning into a PHP Ninja? Excellent! This, plus crack bike riding skills, insect neutralisation and seduction of sales reps mean I expect we’ll soon be seeing someone playing you on Spooks, defending our freedom and democracy. When do you get parachuted into Cuba?
merry says
giggle… um, i’m starting to worry about you 😉
Drew says
Hi, sorry to crash the comments but I was hoping to email you and can’t find your address. If poss, can you ping one to me. Thanks!

I looked in the source code, the ninnynonnynoo and anara bits are missing the class=”nav style 1″ tags.
Loads of DDLL here too, plus the evil leatherjackets that come with them. Still, the badgers are having fun digging up the lawn to gobble them up…
merry says
oooh, that must be a new to php pages tag – i’ve never heard of it before! Thanks 🙂
