Fraction Friday.

June 2, 2006 by

All spent ages curled up in my bed this morning, being silly. Times like that i love being them other of all those daughters – i’m so looking forward to still being curled up in bed with them all for snuggly girly chats for years to come 🙂

mentally busy again this morning (i’ve changed the tag of the blog, have you noticed? So feel i need to add business stuff in to give warts and all of WAHMness to it now!) but we did really well and it was a group effort. Fran did the fraction section of Singapore 2B all on her own without any help and got 100%. She was so chuffed with herself and i was so pleased she’d tackled something so new with no fuss and done so well that i let her off English! She did finish the Florence book though and i’m hoping to get her to narrate it to me next week and maybe go over some more stuff about it with me. Then she and i spent ages sending each other Animal Crossing letters and i was even more impressed by her putting apostrophes into her sentences!

Maddy did loads more EC and some ETC on her own too; i watched herECing and was amazed to see her building completely new 5 letter words by sounding out! 😯 Where’d she learn that then?

Then they all retired to the garden and Happy Streeted, bow and arrowed and built dens. They had such a great time and i just loved sitting and listening to them play.

This afternoon Maddy and Amelie (who are still mainly at daggers drawn 🙄 ) played for more than an hour building circuits with the new kit and launching a helicopter wheel. They just had such fun together and i loved it being so autonomous; i had planned (again!) to do our battery kit but there was clearly no point interupting such self directed learning for a mere piece of mummy directed stuff!

Neighbours came for the later afternoon and loads of playing occurred; their mum and i gossiped and laughed at how much the two little ones hate each other. Shades of the original Amelie and Buttercup relationship there!

Right – erm… Big Brother. I backed Richard to win initially – but boy do i hate that gay man bully/vulnerable act. Blech. Oh bother. It wasn’t him.

Lol, Josie’s just that age now to really not want to play with another toddler!

Buttercup reminded me today that Amelie is her bestest bestest bestest friend. As if I had forgotten 😉

Well, you can reassure her that Amelie has certainly not forgotten either!

um, the tagline reads as if there are three parents, is there something you need to tell us? 😉

Love the new pics of the youngest two – really lovely. Nice that neighbours have children yours can play with too – we’re desperate for the rest of our devlopment to sell – it’s so small – so that C has a chance of a play mate over the age of 2.

Am assuming you have now changed tagline to clarify, and am wondering just what it was before…

Sounds like a good day 🙂

You do – i asked once before if it was okay if i used ones i liked and you said yes of course – so i assumed that would still be okay? *blush* Hope it is, i really like it, but if you prefer not now, i’ll take it down of course. It is hosted on here, not linking to your stuff – i assumed that would be better, but if it isn’t, let me know.

LOL, I made Hannah email Chris once to ask for explicit release of copyright.

Rather embarrassed now, thought i’d had blanket future permission, but perhaps not 🙁

It’s a lovely set of photos just now actually. Amelie looks gorgeous as well. Hannah sprinkles apostrophes liberally 🙄

Lol – it’s Merry and her constantly changing tagline 🙂

You should change it daily according to the way you are feeling at any given time!

I must change Maddy’s; i like it as it is a very familiar expression, but it doesn’t do her justice really.
