The Radio One HE debate

May 16, 2006 by

Was just browsing, while eating lunch (bad girl, eating upstairs 😉 ) and couldn’t help laughing at this… (and yes, i know i shouldn’t be laughing, but who cares… had it been written by a HE kid people would have a field day with it.)

“i think hmeschool is ok but if you think about it u r only learing wat ure mum and dad no teachers learn stuff by going on corses so u learn new stuff and say you want to be a singer and ure mum or dad doesnt like music how are u suppost to be u have no music teacher”

What an advert for the school system 🙄 I noticed the HE’d kids (*waves to India for a start!) didn’t seem to have a problem with constructing a sentence! Nice to see some familiar names there however 😆

“wat a stupid idea cauz then u would hav no social life cause u would never c other children that were ur age!!!!!!!”

I did like this one particularly though:

“I’m currently at school, and personally, i’d hate to be taught at home. School is about socialising with your mates, and with home-teaching, you don’t get that. The only plus about home-schooling is that you can work and learn in an un-interrupted enviroment, where as at school you get the class clowns messing around.”

In other words, if you want an education, stay at home, if you just want to muck about with your friends, go to school.
