Party Animals

February 11, 2006 by

Perfect party for Maddy and SB today. So lovely to see so many friends and they all seemed to have a lot of very high energy, high sugar fun 😆 Maddy was thrilled and is delighted with all her presents; she has packed her new bag with dollies, pens, books and hairstuff and fallen asleep listening to Egyptian stories. Perfect 🙂 Thank you very much everyone 🙂

I really enjoyed them all looning around, they all looked very happy. Fran budddied up with a girl from Brownies and had plenty of fun and Maddy was in heaven to have among others, E and Big, not to mention S with the Squiggly Hair from nursery days and Violet to follow slavishly 🙂 And of course Amelie and Buttercup were as inseparable as ever. Even i got a cuddle from Buttercup today. I’ve arrived 🙂

Since we’ve been home we’ve had impromptu moments of education; some spot on first letter sounding from Maddy who told me she couldn’t play I-Spy because she couldn’t do “that thing where you just say the first letter by knowing what it is.” “Try,” i suggested. And so she did and amazed herself by being able to suss out each one we tried. And Amelie and i did some weighing on my posting scales. Josie has been adorable and Fran has shown just how much more grown up she is all of a sudden by packing her rucksack with 6 books, a gameboy and some knitting. Last year it was stuff with random tat, this year she is just so different.

I’m nearly packed for our week off i think, and i don’t think i’ve totally failed to do anything major either. Let’s hope not anyway 😆

See you soon.
