Evaporating inspiration

December 20, 2005 by

Why do i spend all day blogging in my head then it goes when i get round to blogging?

Frances thinks when they go to Grannie’s house, which looks like a dolls house (?) then maybe someone is just playing a game with them. Hm. That was cuter and more thoughtful in her own words.

She’s also doing an excellent job of co-ercing the children with Santa; everything Amelie and Maddy won’t do, i hear her saying “Santa will see….” Hmm… telling that i’ve just lumped Fran in with the adults (!) Mind you, i’ve just freaked Amelie out by saying “Do you promise you’ll put your nappy knickers on when you get upstairs? Santa will be watching…” (EEEk!)

I’ve just realised i have sent parcels out to Sarah, Alison, Ros, Joyce and Amanda (more birthy vibes to you my dear!) without any explanation of who they come from in it! So erm… consider yourselves warned….

People are still ordering beads… which is optimistic at this stage. I’m such a softy i wiped out todays profit by sending 3 of them special delivery at no extra charge. Looks like i’ll still be posting tomorrow, though the heat is off now.

The girls have made paper chains, lovely to be able to leave them to something like that this year; Amelie went to nursery, cried at the end because she thoguht it was her last day ever, then got home and said she never wanted to go back. i really don’t understand that child. Mind you, she has impressed me this evening. She had a stack of cards that she didn’t know were in her nursery bag till she got home. She opened a variety of them, then said “this one is from Mary.” Surprised i asked her how she knew and she pointed inside and said “Look it says ‘from Mary.'” And she was right. Freaky.

Homebase has sold out of Christmas stuff, PCWorld is without doubt the most maze-like store i have ever had the misfortune to need to use – STUPID floor lay out, all at angles to itself. Its website is easier to navigate. 🙄

We’ve painted card in preparation for a variety of crafts in the Usborne Christmas Crafts book tomorrow; tomorrow Christmas starts properly. Thank goodness we split from the main local eo party, they’ve all come down with a vomiting bug 🙁 So i’m steering well clear of anyone local.

All the girls have just oooh and aaaahed in delight at Santa on a trailer sleigh being pulled around the streets; Fran was all choked up. Bless.

Now i’m going to start listening to that Podcast of A Christmas Carol… will save me reading it. I’m too tired to even read 🙄

This is the first year I have been unable to use the ‘Santa bribe’. Must admit it did come in pretty handy at times though 🙂

I can just about imagine Amelie’s face at the ‘Santa will be watching comment’ not surprised she freaked, 😆

    Enjoy your holiday 🙂

I am so glad to know I’m not the only one who does the blogging-in-her-head-all-day thing!
