It’s Christmas; the decorations are UP! Are we the last people in the universe to decorate?

I’m trying to get the hang of the new camera; it has an incredibly bright flash which really wipes things out at close range. So i’ve been experimenting today (NOT up to standards on the blogring i know!) and i’m quite surprised by how good it is on the close up setting without flash. Much better than the old one anyway.

This effect is annoying me though, even Amelie isn’t this white.

The girls have been away and are delighted to be back – and we are delighted to have them back. Josie missed them dreadfully and was as much work as all 4 of them in many ways. Still, it was good to have time to wrap and shop together; really enjoyed walking into town on Friday night with her in her pushchair and playing at only having one child!

My very grown up looking girl.

It’s obligatory you remark on how gorgeous she is 😉

We’ve had a lovely afternoon decorating the house, reading Christmas stories (so weird to have Fran reading them to us this year), doing a game they do at dancing where they clap a song for people to guess (was impressed at how good Fran was at it) and generally getting some festive spirit into the week. I’m planning on doing lots of festive stuff this week as a thank you to them for the last week or sowhere i have been so busy with bead parcels.

Okay…you certainly hooked me. She is Gorgeous!!! I liked all your pictures. I struggle with my digital flash sometimes too. I can adjust it but who has time for that when you’re trying to catch one of your precious ones doing something wonderful? On the way to visit my mother in law this weekend I turn around to see my 5 and 7 year old out of their car seats. “What are you doing?” I ask. They look at me like I’m nuts and the oldest says, “I had to pee and brother’s holding the cup.” To which I see the younger one hold up a clear plastic Solo cup full of pee. BOYS!! Gotta love them.

And no…I didn’t have the camera handy. It was packed in the suitcase.

lol, yes. She didn’t come near me till the early hours of Saturday, then barely left me alone till the girls came back. I suspect it’s on its way out though, but perhaps a littlem ore slowly than it seemed.

    Yes, she’s gorgeous. 🙂

And no, you’re not the last. We do have a Christmas tree, but it’s still outside wrapped up in its netting, leaning against a pile of scrap timber. :

We are half decorated – tree up but nothing else so you beat us!

Fran is sooo grown up, Maddy isn’t exactly looking like a baby either any more is she??? And yes, of course, Josie is adorable…. what is it with sleeping tots, they just look so angelic! Just to be even handed Amilie is pretty cute still too!

They are all gorgeous! And no you weren’t the last although we did manage to get the tree up yesterday but still surrounded by boxes which is distinctly unfestive 🙂
