Taking a week away before Xmas is probably not a terribly sensible thing for a toy retailer to do! Should have thought 🙁 I did a shed load of parcels at midday, took all my stock back to my lock-up (which is number 1001, sort of room 101 but bigger :shock:) and came home to find another 5 orders. Hm. Jax, i need to catch up with you at some point tonight or tomorrow AM, if you can spare me a mo. Will have to somehow work out a way of getting online through the week (Macdonalds?) and may have to leave a bit early if it threatens to overwhelm, i think. Really should have thought ahead. In fact, i think i may have to make that my new motto “for the love of beads, think AHEAD”.
Been out shopping today TWICE and failed to get all but one of the 5 presents i was looking for. Thank goodness i don’t have boys: tried, really tried, to buy a boys toy but the box art and colour schemes sent me running away screaming. Trip to Tesco yielded no better except that i bought 2 new pairs of trousers a size smaller than previously, which at least proved that despite a verdict of ‘death by misadventure’ being recorded on my diet by jury of the scales, something somewhere is shrinking.
Maddy accompanied me and was very gorgeous. Do love that girl.
Girls have all played Gamecube (Sarah, must grab you too about something) and written very modest Xmas lists. Various amounts of other stuff gone on. Nothing educational though 🙄
There is a computer with internet access in the lobby at Okehampton – pay per minute access I expect, but better than nothing?
