That would be the end of the day then.

December 1, 2005 by

Phew.

The days have felt really long this week, dunno why. I daresay it’s just post-illness nerg, i just can’t seem to get warm and it makes me want to sit still and vegetate. What was i doing this time last year? I don’t remember feeling like this.

Oh yeah, sitting still and breastfeeding all day.

The Olan Mills photos arrived today and i’m really pleased with them. Have considered leaving a note out for postman

“What does the phrase ‘do not bend, includes fragile photos’ mean to you. Please discuss, using examples, in no more than 500 words.”

🙄

Photos fortunately were rounded but not creased and they are lovely. Looking forward to getting them framed.

When i came down this morning, Fran had found a craft on the Tots TV site and had written out, by hand, 3 pages of instructions on how to do it. I was tempted to remind her of the print button, but didn’t, then eventually she said “my hand is tired so i’ll print the rest. I wanted to write it out to understand it.” Awww… anyway, then she made some pompoms for slipper socks, using a wind it round a rectangle of card method rather than a doughnut method. Much easier.

Rest of day bleurgh, apart from group. Fran went off to play with E, kids lolled, i caught up with beads. Need more orders now, it’s gone quiet!

Must start Xmas shopping. No idea what to get anyone.

We only started Christmas shopping today but did quite well, even with three kids in tow, the key was in having thought about it beforehand, I *made* Steve sit down and think about it last night but it definitely helped today.

Should I have saved my order for today then? 😉

Still chuckling at the image of the postie, leaning on the handlebars of his bike, writing his essay for you.

OMG you mean you haven’t done your xmas shopping yet??? ;o)

I really think you should make a similar effort on a christmas card for said postie, make it nicely rounded and write something inside along the lines of “You could have had a tip but we have to have our photos reprinted so can’t afford it”. But maybe I’m just evil!

C has done most of ours online already 🙂 A benefit of leaving him alone bored for 4 days 😉 Sarah, did you go to *shops*? Haven’t done that for years – I love this time of year, parcels arriving every day!

yep, we went to *shops* … , It was quite fun, in a strange sort of a way … you have to, when shopping with Steve. He doesn’t see it as shopping if you can’t stop for coffee every 2 hours or so …

I’ll freak with you – have got kids sorted and wine bought, but that’s it, and have run out of inspiration now.

I haven’t even got that far. i can’t think of anything for Amelie at all (except a multitude of Dora themed stuff which is so “been there”)

nope I haven’t done any either. Well nothing proper. James doesn’t get paid again till the 23rd so we’ll be really late doing it all!! It’s not like me at all really as I’m normally thinking about it in Oct and done in Nov!!

    Ah well.

Hardly done any either. Had a couple of parcels arrive last week though, which was nice – may well just do some more online shopping this evening. 🙂
