Poor Josie has had a rotten few days; having had a restless night on Wednesday and been as miserable as sin on Thursday morning at Tammy’s, she had mutated into a screaming, heartbroken monster by the time Barbara arrived. And she screamed, through Calpol and Nurofen, refusing boob or bottle or any food, or indeed even sleep, until 4am on Friday. She seemed to perk up slightly then, and i was still baffled as to what was wrong as she was only slightly hot, with a bit of a cold and a bit of a tooth but nothing much. Went out to AWorld and she howled for most of the time, apart from a brief sleep up against me and by the time we left she was so sad that the other mums had persuaded me to take her the doctor. She was seeming to bat one ear a bit by then too. Nipped home, dropped off Barbara and the others, went to the Doctors. She effected an immediate recovery en route and has been pretty much completely fine since, though the doctor did say her ear was red inside.
Kids 🙄
We’ve had a fun couple of days with the Raine Drops anyway. Thursday just involved lots of playing, E, Fran and Maddy being particularly matey (love it when E comes as she really manages to play equally with my big two). Amelie and B have had a lovely time too.
Yesterday we let them loose with stamping and colouring in the morning and then whisked them out to AWorld – 3 hours of mayhem later and they were all ready for an earlish night; at least Fran was and i don’t think the others were far behind her. We’re about to say goodbye, after breakfast but we’ve really appreciated the company and gossip 🙂 Lovely blogbumping.

You know, I think if you just threaten a child with the Dr they almost always instantly get better…… Poor Josie though 🙁

I’m convinced there is a call fora service where you phone in, turn up, book in, then go straight home. Could save the nhs a fortune.
