Home educating Utopia 🙂

Fran and i get inspired by Jules’ blog about symmetrical pictures.

We decide to give it a go.

Having played with coloured squares on paper for a while, we got out paints and used cotton buds to blob paint on to folded card. Then she translated those blob pictures back on to graph paper.

Since we were doing Romans last week, we had a look at some Roman mosaics on the computer and played with some mosaic squares.

Last week we played with them on baking trays, the results were interesting, if random:

I’m curious to see what she’ll make if she has another go.

We finished off by stumbling on this page and this programme and Fran independently designed this.

Which i love.

All mornings between 9am-10am should be like this. 🙂
