Losing will to live.

September 12, 2005 by

Can’t even begin to see how to sort out the impending camping crisis – Wendy has dates up for September so unless i want to do exactly the “pissing on parade” thing i’m offended by myself, September is out. And i don’t want to do that, i like Wendy and i might even like to go to her camp myself. Have at least got the beginnings of some dialogue on it now but don’t hold out much hope. So far as i can see we either move into July (and probably move venues as Kessie will become hideous) or move to early June. Or give up. I’m in danger of giving up.

And i’ve now been informed that the post below pisses on a whole different parade. ARGH.

Today.

Well it was good, in as much as i managed to give everyone time and everyone did as they were supposed to. Ams did like nursery but.. well, its a funny thing to say really but she just seemed enormously big and capable in comparison to most of the children there. In actual fact she’ll be one of the youngest but she talks in a way most of them don’t, knew everything about everything that was available to her and was supremely confident from the first moment. I can’t really see it stretching her for a year, to be honest. In fact, it occurred to me while i was there that my main reason for HEing both Fran and Maddy has been that they’ve been utterly unready for the experience but quite honestly i could have taken Ams into a Reception class and left her without an “is she ready?” quibble. A whole new kettle of fish. Marvellous.

Anyway, she liked having me to herself there (thanks Tammy) and that is probably why she thinks i’ll be there every time. Oh i dunno, i can’t be bothered with it all. Josie isn’t going, that is for sure.

Spent the morning on various bits and bobs; Ammi and i sat and practised some of the letters in her name, Maddy and i did some of her ExTC book, for which she seems to have a method at least, though i am not sure if its helping. Lol 🙄 We all sat together and watched Primary Geography and History; fran later told me all about the water cycle so it must have gone in and the History one was Celts and Romans, so very pertinent to current interests. Maddy had previously been riveted to Words and Pictures Plus. All good then 🙂

Fran sat with me doing endless maths pages again, i had to take the book away in the end because it was doing my head! She’s a bit of a perfectionist about it, takes a deep affront at 9/10 😆 Today it was symmetry, money sums and a variety of other bits and bobs. I’m so pleased that missing out on 2 years of Numeracy hours hasn’t stunted her anyway. 🙄

Most of the day was taken up with endless games though, and a large amount of Sylvannian Family play, with gym at the end. Ended a bit sourly though as we all fell out and then Fran and i had a tantrum at each other when she appeared downstairs YET AGAIN with some marlarky about how she was frightened of dying in her sleep. Sent her to bed with a flea in her ear. Hope that one doesn’t come back to bite me on the bum. (If you see what i mean.)

Now i am going to take myself off in a temper and decide what to read now i’ve finished the Lemony Snicket books – i would have to finally get to like them just as i have to wait for the next one!

(And more calamities; i’ve lost my babysitter tomorrow for my dental appointment due to a real calamity; good that i don’t have to have a filling, bad as it’ll cost me 🙁 And triple bad because its a real calamity 🙁 But on the other hand, Josie just got her 3rd tooth, top middle right. At last.)
