I don't really need to blog yesterday

September 1, 2005 by

Because its been done here already!

No idea what is up with Fran, i’ve never seen her so floppy, weepy and washed out. Poor girl. She is still asleep so maybe it’ll be gone when she wakes up.

I’d had plans for a busy morning but Fran certainly wasn’t up for it and neither were the others, so they Dora’d, Fran flopped, Josie autonomously practised walking, i got involved in conversations on lists which increasing disturb and frighten me, i also parceled. Parceling early is part of my new routine to get family time back in the evenings; the girls normally flop till 9/9.30ish so i figured if i could work then, and post when i take Ammi to nursery, it’ll make the day flow much better.

Seeing the Beans was delicious (i found the plum shop!) – if we move i’ll be very sorry to leave them behind – but i do know that the Puddle connections are so strong now that i’ll see people like Tammy and Helen/Chris all over the place. Hopefully the rest of the local gang will start coming to camps too soon 🙂

When we got home, without a maniac driver attached to my bumper on the way back thankfully (idiot woman) Maddy, Amelie and i pulled the pot potatos – we’ve got a really good crop, 2 bucket loads. They had loads of fun doing it. fran and Max played chess; she is really quite good now thanks to Lego Chess and i could hear he was giving her ideas on how to improve, he being a good player, rather than my rather random approach to it. (Bet it doesn’t really surprise you to know i’m no good at chess does it!) Fran also spent some time reading some ORT Stage 9 books; that is roughly an end of Year 2 level – but she found them easy enough to do on her own. She really likes that scheme, its giving her a lot of confidence, so although its expensive, i’m going to go with it. I daresay i’ll get my moneys worth eventually!

I’ve got massive apathy about a whole lot of boring jobs that i need to do but i must do them, as they are stopping me starting several more creative things. Need to make a list.

Maddy wants to know about our fenland drainage ditches (finally our local geography is interesting!)

Yesterday ended with the most amazing thunderstorm; lightening that stayed long enough to let you find each bolt and admire it, bolts that lit up the sky like daylight, ripping, tearing sounds, a huge amount of rain. it was quite awe-inspiring!

Fran has just come tearing down the stairs demanding breakfast, so i guess she is cured!
