Must be more positive.

July 4, 2005 by

Today is our 7th Wedding Anniversary – Happy Anniversary to us 🙂 Its been quite a busy 7 years really and i think we’ve done quite well to survive some of it with our marriage intact. here’s to many more good years.

Finished Pocohontas last night; very sobering, Fran and i managed not to cry but only just. Wonder if i can sneak a visit to Sally to visit her statue? Good to have dispelled some Disney-fication anyway. Going to make her the first entry into our Book of Time today and hopefully also start our postcard display.

Yesterday morning Fran came up to me, while i was still snoozing and said “mummy, mummy… i put T U in doodle and may and got some bare….” or somesuch. Enough to have me slightly confused anyway. Turned out that she had put TY and May into Google, having decided to find a Beanie Baby website and managed to turn up her very own Birthday present beanie on a website she had then navigated and read to her hearts content. I’d call that a result. Its amazing what a child can do when the subject matter interests them. There’s a lesson in there somewhere isn’t there? 😀

On another positive note, Maddy’s birth story is going to be in the reprint of Caesarean Birth in Britain, along with Fran and Amelie’s. I really ought to have written up Josie’s too, given it is at least and example of a well suported labour but i just can’t yet. But maybe this will help me focus on the one i did do really well now. Sometimes i feel like i imagined it.
