I think we tired them out anyway 😀
Unfortunately we weren’t able to lay on the excitement of their arrival at departure – how often can you manage a large car crash outside your house that involves all the emergency services (which we actually called ourselves) before a visitor has even got in off the drive? (Everyone seemed okay btw, but it was quite spectacular.)
Today was much quieter, mainly due to a heap of exhausted children. Fran and Big continued to insist on wearing the HE uniform of pink skirt and stripy top but mostly we all chilled in the morning.
Then Jax found me some great tree posters to print out and i printed out a bug hunt and we headed off to the park for a mini MP meet that was very pleasant. Kids all liked it, mummies had a good time too.
Some of them came back here and this evening i’ve walked and Fran has read an Usborne Beginners to me on Elizabeth I (much excitement at the drawing of Hatfield!) and Maddy read to me as well.
I love life sometimes. Off for a film now; Carol will aim to reply asap – more frantic days ahead… sorry.. want to reply properly!
