She says she has no time

May 10, 2005 by

EEEEk…… suddenly time is rushing towards me! HESFES is best, i find, approached without thinking about it too hard or i lose my bottle, especially when its currently FREEZING :(( Cold, with a small baby, is just my worst nightmare and suddenly i’ve got chills in my toes about it all. My weather looks horrid now and my throat is definitely considering playing up too. Wah.

STILL – i do have a gorgeous new flag for my tent, which i was going to blog but might try to keep it as a surprise. Its lovely, though how it will cope in the rain, i am not sure. I’ve been potching it all day to try and weatherproof it some more. The paint should be fine but Kate outlined it in some felt tip from the Persil box which said on the front “Fabric Pens” and then “washable” underneath. Now, i think this suggests you draw and you can wash the result but no, it means you can wash the result OUT. DUH? Anyway, its fab. No, maybe i can’t wait, i’ll photograph it later. But if you happen to see it out in the rain, grab it for me would you?

Otherwise… well Fran did another panel of her box, only one left now which she is determined to do tomorrow. We all went out, J included, for a trip to a sewing shop i discovered – oh no, what a glory hole!!!!! Fran charmed them with her enthusiasm and so we came away with her pick of new embroidery cords (they got every box out for her to choose from!) and some Aida to tide us over till the Binca they ordered for us comes in. Very nice shop. I forced Hope into refunding me the £10 delivery for their pants service – why did my binca not arrive? Oh yes, because their website is 2 years out of date *rolls eyes*

Otherwise, lots of reading from Fran, Happy Street and general fun, more tesselating. Lots of definition of words, lots of reading on buildings fro mthe car, conversations about companies called by letter groups not words (BM and MP came in handy there!) another bead delivery and a box from The Book People with Rainbow Fairies (Fran requested books to read for her birthday) and some Red Nose Readers for Maddy. Plus a couple of Usborne sets and some Ramona and Olga. Max paid… (not sure if he knows that! :D)

Girls did dancing and Fran danced for us at bedtime; very graceful she was too. Awe…. Maddy seemed to enjoy it more this week. Now.. PJs and the list which isn’t getting shorter….
