I hold you in cupped hands…

May 5, 2005 by

Today is 05/05/05… and it therefore is Election Day, a noteworthy date in that my mum or dad always text me when the date has an interesting pattern to it.. and its also Josie’s half birthday. Six months old today.

Happy Half Birthday Josie Jo.

She celebrated by spending most of the day sitting unaided, something i only discovered she could do a week ago, when BB was here. Tbh, sitting has never been that big a deal before as all the others have always been highly mobile by this age, so i haven’t really noticed. So Josie has claimed “First to Sit First Award” for herself. Naturally, it has heralded a new style of play for the other girls, who love sitting around her and handing her toys.

How do i feel six months on from Firework Night? Not sure really, the jury is out. I love her terribly though, i’ve enjoyed this babyhood SO much.

Spent a lot of the day with Tammy and Sam today vwhich was most delightful. Tammy thoughtfully filled me in on enough American history to be able to put my Sonlight Books in order and i feel quite inspired to do some America stuff now. Its a pet love of mine anyway although i only know much about a few periods. Started to redress the horrific nature of Pocohontas 2 by printing off some Hummingbird stuff for Fran which caught her interest. oh, tammy and Alison, just so you know… “I not marry Lulah, she’s a girl, i marry Sam.” I’m going to have trouble with Amelie….

Other than that its been lots of geomags, lots of sewing, lots of normals, some reading etc etc. Feeling quite good about educational stuff right now, its definitely on the up around here.
