A day to be pleased with.

March 27, 2005 by

Fran started the day by being sick, not a lot, but enough and was clearly out of sorts for most of the day. We had planned on going to an Easter Egg hunt at Sacrewell Farm but it was really too cold for babies and sick people. So BIL, SIL and I and M went and Max, Ammi and Maddy went too and Fran, Josie and I stayed home (hmmm.. the algebraic approach really doesn’t work there does it!)

I really wanted to give Fran some full on 1-2-1 time and fortunately Josie slept the entire time, so Fran did half of StudyDog level 2 while i sat with her. I was really impressed, both with her and the software actually. After that i read her two volcano fiction/factual books “Hill of Fire” “Pompeii” (both linked to on this page) and we looked up the volcanoes in question on the net. Then she sat and read to me for a while and then we played Set. So all in all that was a lovely bit of time and it made us feel good.

The rest of the day has witness a merging of the twin devilments that are Ammi and M, (what a pair of pickles….), lots of dressing up, nice dinner, multiple stories including some Burgess Bird Book, more reading of Ladybird books by Fran and rather a lot of Dora in bursts of what we can stand.

Six children in one house doesn’t seem ALL that many….
