Hm. Actually its been quite a good day although Max is ill with stomach and back pain. Wail….
There has been lots of learning type activity going on: the big two did lots of the DK Oz game which is very mathsy and they love it. Fran did double “box” and was great – excellent maths, beautiful reading, loads of nice writing.
She and i also sat down and worked through the Montessori “Counter” presentation – nice and easy, she got it straightaway and enjoyed sorting the 0-100 cards into odd and even. So that’s that box ticked. Even better, the Exeter maths page then focused on Odd/Even too and she clearly had it down fine and i heard her give Max a good explanation of what it was too. So no further anxieties on that accidentally mislaid skill! Ammi used a number pegboard while we did that and Maddy wants to learn them too. So i feel good about all that… lol.
After lunch Maddy made a hospital, Fran made a shop, Ammi raised hell and i orgo-planned…. perfect day really.
Edit: Forgot this – typed an email to Kirsty and Fran came over and read it perfectly ovver my shoulder! lol… this reading lark could have disadvantages!
