Safely back from a lovely time @Portico!!!!!
Edited to add: We really did have a nice couple of days. I excelled myself by getting to Bristol without losing myself, killing the car or being the last to arrive, which is always good. @Bristol really was excellent; not cheap if you pay in full i guess but very enjoyable. Not entirely sure what the kids got out of it but i daresay things from it will surface. It was however one of those days when i realized i need to stop having children – not due to the 7 children we wafted around with all day who were all delightful but because i don’t get time to “do” places properly – everyone will be grown up soon if i don’t start paying attention to the current children not the making of more of them. Anyway, must go again sometime.
We also managed IKEA with 7 children, even better – spent £21 on essential cheap stuff, always good and got back chez Portico quite late. So Tuesday we mostly relaxed in the enjoyable company of Layla, C and then also Simon and Chris. Enjoyed the roasted pumpkin seeds enormously, but glad algae was an optional extra…
Yesterday i got a nice relaxing journey home as the children were all asleep before we left the town and slept the whole way; so i got to listen to Nanci and think about my life a bit. Which i did.
