Its been a frustrating few weeks.

March 12, 2005 by

And i’ve got a bad tonsil again, which doesn’t bode well. For someone who has been sliced open while awake 3 times, i’m feeling pretty pathetically scared about the idea of having to have my tonsils out really. I’ve got a feeling its going to come to that, though presumably not till Josie weans and i’m in no rush for that at all.

Today was nice, though it didn’t go remotely according to my plans. First of all an Amazon package arrived, which had Mary Poppins in it. Now, that has to be one of my all time fave films, i adored it as a child and i’ve been really excited about watching it with the girls. So me and the big three curled up on the sofa and watched. It was lovely to be under a heap of girls watching together, particularly as the message of the film is to spend time with your children, so i was rather glad that i’d dumped my computer chair in favour of their arms, legs and bums well before my adult watching brain actually “discovered” the message. We had a lovely time, though i’d forgotten how long it was and they flagged after the sweeps but i just had a lovely time with them.

After that we turfed out into the garden and dug some herbs out of the pots to add to our lavender border. Max was remaking the rabbit run, the girls dug and we started thinking about this years vegetables. Trying desperately to remember who asked me to share an allotment with them this year- Hannah, was it you? If so, shall we?

Max bought new mattresses for the girls beds now they are a bit more reliable and strangely these occupied the girls for most of the afternoon with a variety of games. They are playing beautifully atm. I made Fimo beads ready for some Egyptian jewellery next week and then popped into town for some new gamecube controllers (grumble). Stopped of at Toys R Us for a clock for their room and got a rather good Barbie one which has a “teaching” face that you can clip on or off. It has “25 to” and “1/4 past” written on it and so on. Seemed to please them. Dilemma of the week has been caused by Amelie, who wants Maddy’s Erica Barbie, only so did Maddy, so Amelie rather cleverly broke it just enough so Maddy wouldn’t want it anymore. Which of course meant that i had to say i’d try and get Maddy a new one, only the world is full of half price “Annelise’s” but “Erica’s” are all gone – i could probably get one on Ebay but it galls me to pay nearly double just because of the naughtiness of evil Amelie.

Grrrr.

Josie is still rather poorly, the lump is still there and she seems to be holding her head rather oddly; i am assuming she has a sore ear so i have started her Antibiotics now but if she doesn’t seem better tomorrow, its off to the Doctors i think. And my throat is REALLY hurting. Wail.

Hopefully we are visiting this week and then after that we have to knuckle down and get some stuff done. I need entertainment – i need to go out with my children, i need some rhythm and some projects back. I’m doing too much taxi-ing and too much “in a minute-ing”. Fran is really coming on reading wise, Maddy is just itching to have some real skill levels, Ammi, possibly, is going to have to go to playgroup :~/ Sigh. Throw the balls up in the air and see where they fall.

So plans for the next two or three weeks….
The aforementioned skills.
Australia.
Egypt.
Some form of structure that means i can think of things to do each day.
Walks out to the park.
