I can’t decide how to spell that – i’ve had Exoniuns.. Exonions just looks silly and reminds me of the scene in Shrek.. I don’t even know if its a word. In fact, aren’t Exeter City fans Grecians? Now THAT makes no sense at all.
Anyway, the point of the title, if there is a point, is that we’ve had a similar day to them, without even reading their blogs first! Max was ill again and oddly, Maddy decided not to go to nursery. She said she was poorly but she really wasn’t, or no more than slightly off colour at worst. However, i grabbed this as an opportunity to give her a “real day” ;~), plonked the other two in front of Mulan 2 and sat doing Bear and Penguin Maths with her. (I’m becoming increasingly confused by these titles, but this one is called Maths Adventure 2, Adding and Subtracting). She was brilliant, worked straight through the first level and just needed no help bar me sat by her to encourage her. The only help i gave her was for the end “timed” level which was too fast and i didn’t want her to feel defeated. But other than that, she figured out strategies for herself and was completely accurate – and so full of her achievement too. made me really happy.
After that Fran wanted a game so she had Frankie: World Exlorer which was £2.99 at Brainworks – not specially stretching but i nice little cultural wander – we managed the Entente Cordialle and Republics anyway! She probably played on that for 2-3 hours anyway.
I was entertaining the little two and beading to make up a nice spring kit – got the girls designing flowers for me and they did really well – then legged it throguh some parcels, took them dancing, posted parcels, bought take out tea and raced home. And now i’m mixing beads as i’m probably selling as much of my own mixes now as i am of Hama ones. Shriek! Josie has been awake all day and is now asleep – bit of a first that!
